What sounds easier: Finding new clients to work with OR Working with past clients again?
I’d go with the second option. Most of the time before you book a new client they will have had to had enough engagement with you that they can know, like, and trust you. That takes time, and although it is what we are working on everyday sometimes we need options to make money now. In this week’s video I give you 3 ways that you can use to make money without having to find new clients or leads.

1. Use Your Current Network: You are engaging with your audience weekly even daily to build a relationship with them. So when you have an open space in your calendar they should be the first to know. You would be surprised how many clients I have that never tell their audience that they are available to work with. Sometimes your followers may think you are so “popular” that you are completely booked. So they don’t even bother reaching out. It is your job to let them know that you are available to work with!
2. Have A Retainer Option: If you have one-on-one clients you most likely have the option of creating a retainer package to continue to work with them. A retainer as defined by dictionary.com is “a fee paid to secure services”. Retainers are usually paid in advance and because of that they are at a lower rate. This option would be perfect for a designer who has a client that constantly needs new graphics or website updates. Or a photographer who works with a business owner or blogger who needs new photos every month. This can also work for the client of a coach who knows they need continued accountability and support.
3. Create A New Offering: No one know’s your client’s like you do. You have been working with them so you know where they are right now in business, and life. You know what their future plans are, and you know what they need right now. So create what that client needs right now. Create it and sell it to them. Your clients will be happy to work with you again and excited to have a solution for their problem.
I’d love to hear from you!

Do you continue to work with past clients to generate new revenue?
Great post, Nevica! Can’t wait to put some of these in action for my own clients!!
That is so great to hear Jessica!
There are so many options for wedding planners like yourself when it comes to this.
Like planning the bridal shower, or bachelorette party.
Or adding on services like creating invitations!
Do you work with past clients in anyway right now?
Nevica, the options really are endless for wedding planners. Right now I’m working with one of my favorite past clients on a bridal shower for her first baby. It’s a gender reveal party (only I know the gender) and I am SO excited to plan it for her!!! 🙂
I haven’t thought about creating invitations (graphic design isn’t in my wheelhouse lol) but I do include the other services for my full service clients. It’s an add-on for my other clients.
Such great advice! Thank you for sharing!
